CÓMO COLOCAR LA HERRADURA DE LA SUERTE

Uno de los talismanes más populares en el mundo es la herradura de la suerte: un potente activador de la fortuna, que además protege al propietario contra la negatividad y la influencia de las brujas. La tradición indica que para que surta efecto, debe tratarse de una herradura de caballo, confeccionada en hierro y preferiblemente usada. No importa si tiene herrumbre (oxido), solo límpiala antes de utilizarla.

Se considera que las herraduras encontradas o regaladas, traen mejor suerte que aquellas que son compradas directamente por el propietario.

No se te ocurra robarla o extraerla con violencia de la pata de un caballo, o tendrás la mala fortuna tras de ti (y posiblemente una buena patada propinada por el animal, también).

La práctica de colocar una herradura, sobre el dintel de la puerta, para proteger el hogar y atraer la buena suerte, es una costumbre de origen incierto; sin embargo existen muchas historias al respecto.

LA LEYENDA DE SAN DUSTÁN Y LA HERRADURA

San Dustán (909 – 988) era un sacerdote católico inglés, que ascendió al grado de arzobispo de Canterbury y fue canonizado, después de su muerte. Dustán pertenecía a una familia noble, pero eso no le impidió aprender herrería. Se dice que en una ocasión un hombre (algunas versiones hablan de una criatura) se acercó a él para solicitarle que le hiciera unos zapatos, especiales para sus pies, los cuales tenía formas de pezuñas.

Al examinar al sujeto, San Dustán llegó a la conclusión de que se trataba del mismo diablo, por lo que fingiendo acceder a su petición, lo ató a una pared y comenzó a clavarle herraduras en los pies. Al parecer el sufrimiento del diablo fue tal, que le dijo a San Dustán que le daría lo que deseará, si detenía la tortura. Ante el ofrecimiento, el santo le hizo prometer al demonio que nunca entraría en las casas marcadas con herraduras en la puerta.

Así se extendió la creencia de que colocar una herradura sobre el dintel (o marco) de la puerta de tu hogar, mantendrá lejos a los espíritus del mal.

LA HERRADURA DE LA SUERTE SOBRE LA ENTRADA

La costumbre popular señala que la herradura de la suerte debe colocarse sobre el dintel o marco superior de la puerta principal (entrada) de la casa (del lado interior de la vivienda, no afuera).

Existen muchos debates relacionados con la orientación que debe tener la herradura, cuando se fija en la pared, pues cada posición tiene un significado diferente. La tradición más extendida indica que:

  • Una herradura con las puntas hacia arriba protege el hogar contra la negatividad y atrae las bendiciones del cielo
  • Una herradura con las puntas hacia abajo atrae la buena suerte y repele a las brujas y demonios.

El número de clavos utilizados para fijar la herradura a la pared debe ser impar, siendo 7 la cantidad considerada como más auspiciosa. Aunque algunos ocultistas señalan que mientras clavos tenga la herradura, más suerte atraerá.

Es importante que antes de colgarla, sostengas la herradura de la suerte en tus manos y visualices cómo cumple el propósito que le darás (atraer la suerte, proteger la casa). Puedes acompañar esta acción con una pequeña plegaria.

Recuerda tocar la herradura  de la suerte por lo menos una vez el mes (lo recomendable es una vez por semana), para mantener activa tu intención.
